Randi Berry

Randi is a founding member of Wreckio Ensemble. She was last seen in Wreckio’s original production of Based on a True Story: The Sex Edition and in Gravediggers as Mother. She co-wrote and played various characters in Wrestling Porcelain at the Ontological Hysteric Theater, Access Theater & the Music Hall at Snug Harbor. Other Wreckio roles include Myrenie in Lysistrata, Number Four in The Corner which ran in the NY International Fringe Festival at PS 122, various characters in Gint & The Burglar’s Wife in The Virtuous Burglar. She has also been seen as Agave in U.R Faust, a movement theater piece performed in Athens, Greece, Wendy in 27 - an original one woman show, Agnes in A Bright Room Called Day, Du in Keely and Du, Paulina in A Winter’s Tale and Dunyasha in The Cherry Orchard. Directing credits include Betrayal & My Mother Said I Never Should.

Dechelle Damien

Dechelle is a founding member of Wreckio Ensemble. Dechelle was last seen in Wreckio’s original production of Based on a True Story: The Sex Edition and in Gravediggers as Gravedigger 1. She co-wrote and played Cecy in Wrestling Porcelain at the Ontological Hysteric Theater, Access Theater and the Music Hall at Snug Harbor. Other Wreckio roles include Lysistrata in Lysistrata, Number Two in The Corner which ran in the NY International Fringe Festival at PS 122, Oldie Mama in Gint and Anna in The Virtuous Burglar. Other credits include Harriet in Sandwich (2007 Wonderland Festival, nominated for Best Actress), Lyubov in The Cherry Orchard, Isa in Isadora Libre (American Living Room Festival 1999), Gertrude in OverFaust (Florida Dance Festival 1999) Lady Fanciful in The Provok’d Wife, Maggie in Dancing at Lughnasa, Smith in Three Penny Opera and Linda/Sammy in storming the kingdom - an original one-woman show. She toured Germany with The Sisters You (2000) and Fat Peggy’s Sober Property at the TAT Depot (2001). Dechelle wrote and will be directing Wreckio Ensemble’s next original production Me, Myself, I and The Others.
As a set designer, Dechelle has received critical acclaim for her design for Wrestling Porcelain. She has also designed the sets for Wreckio Ensemble’s productions of Gravediggers and Gint.

Michelle Diaz

Michelle is a founding member of Wreckio Ensemble. She was last seen in Gravediggers as Gravedigger 2 . She co-wrote and played various characters in Wrestling Porcelain at the Ontological Hysteric Theater, Access Theater and the Music Hall at Snug Harbor. Other Wreckio roles include Kalonike in Lysistrata and various characters in Gint. Michelle wrote and directed The Corner which appeared at PS 122 during the 2002 Fringe Festival. She appeared in Richard Foreman’s King Cowboy Rufus Rules the Universe. Other credits include a National tour of Pedro Calderon de la Barca’s Mornings of April and May, and The Cure at Troy, performed in Greece. Some of her favorite roles include Varya in The Cherry Orchard, Rose in Dancing at Lughnasa, and Hedvig in The Wild Duck. Michelle also wrote and performed Tiniebla – a one-person show. She has appeared in independent films and TV shows. She is currently receiving her MFA in Acting from University of CA in San Diego, where she was last seen as Fiorella in Labrynth of Desire by Lope de Vega and translated by Caridad Svich.

Karly Maurer

Karly Maurer is a founding member of Wreckio Ensemble. Karly wrote and directed Wreckio Ensembles’s production of Gravediggers which was produced at the Ontological Hysteric theater in 2005. She was last seen in Wreckio’s production of Based on a True Story: The Sex Edition and as various characters in Wreckio’s original production, Wrestling Porcelain. Other Wreckio roles include: Female Koryphaois in Lysistrata and Number One in The Corner at the 2002 NYC Fringe Festival. Other credits include Helen in Sandwich (2007 Wonderland Festival, nominated for Best Actress), Helen in Machinal, Cathy McNamara in Eclipsed, and the Little Girl in My Mother Said I Never Should. Karly has also written and directed her one-person show, Three Doors.

Kimberlea Kressal
Artistic Associate
Kimberlea Kressal has directed extensively in New York City and South Florida. She is a company member of Wreckio Ensemble for whom she most recently co-directed Me, Myself, I and the Others. For Wreckio Ensemble’s 2008 season she is scheduled to direct The Corner by co-Artistic Director Michelle Diaz and The Ladies Aide Society Invites You to a Poverty Party to Benefit the Foundation for Ethical Art and Culture which will be presented in Dublin, Ireland this summer. She will be directing Rooftops in 2009. In 2007 she received the “Best Director” award at The Wonderland Festival for her direction of Sandwich starring Wreckio Ensemble’s co-Artistic Directors, Dechelle Damien and Karly Maurer. She is the Founder and former Artistic Director of the New York City based women’s theatre company, the estro-tribe. For her work as a director and arts educator, Kimberlea has been featured in Backstage Magazine, The New Times, and The Palm Beach Post and her self-conceived and directed production Menstruation, Manipulation, Mutilation; Herstory was listed in Time Out New York’s “100 Reasons to See NY Theater.” Kimberlea spent three years as Artistic Coordinator and Dean of Admissions for the Dreyfoos School of the Arts in South Florida. She has served as a member of the Palm Beach Cultural Council, Committee Member for the SUNFEST Arts and Music Festival, and Arts Ambassador for The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. She has been a frequent guest speaker for philanthropic organizations and a presenter at national conferences on the topic of developing and funding arts education programs.
Some of her favorite directing credits include: Teach a Girl to Fish, Sweet Ugly, Menstruation, Manipulation, Mutilation; Herstory (2000 Audience Favorite Award - NY International Fringe Festival), Bitch Witch Vamp Tramp Virgin Whore Goddess, The Game, Medea, The Life and Death of King John, Matsukaze, The Serpent, and Ragtime. Additionally, Kimberlea has worked with activist groups creating and performing site-specific street theatre. She is the recipient of the Robert Moss Directing Award and a Nominee for the Princess Grace Award in Directing. She received her BFA in Directing from NYU, Tisch School of the Arts where she currently serves as a Directing Mentor for 3rd and 4th year undergraduate directing students.
