Company Bios

Randi Berry is founding member & co-Artistic Director of Wreckio Ensemble. She was last seen as Sept Ember in Bail Out, the Musical. Other Wreckio roles include: Pixie in Rooftops, Day Fantasist-BOB in Me, Myself, I and the Others, Mother in Gravediggers, Myrenie in Lysistrata, Number Four in The Corner which ran in the NY International Fringe Festival at PS 122, various characters in Gint and The Burglar’s Wife in The Virtuous Burglar. She was also seen in and co-wrote Wreckio’s productions of The Ladies Aide Society Invites You To A Poverty Party To Benefit The Foundation For Ethical Art And Culture, various characters in the Based on a True Story series and various characters in Wrestling Porcelain. Randi has performed all over the US and in Ireland, England and Greece. Directing credits include Betrayal and My Mother Said I Never Should. Randi was named an Indie Theater Person of the Year in 2013 and in 2014 was inducted into the Indie Theater Hall of Fame and named an Indie Theater Hero and Influencer. She is also the Executive Director of IndieSpace and The Indie Theater Fund. She is on the board of the League of Independent Theater.

Dechelle Damien is a founding member & co-Artistic Director of Wreckio Ensemble. She was last seen as Cecilia in Bail Out The Musical. Other Wreckio roles include Jackett in Karly Maurer’s Rooftops, various characters in The Ladies Aide Society Invites You To A Poverty Party To Benefit The Foundation For Ethical Art And Culture which was part of the chashama residency program and toured to Dublin, Ireland, various characters Naked and in the Based on a True Story series, Gravedigger 1 in Gravediggers, Cecy in Wrestling Porcelain which she co-wrote, Lysistrata in Lysistrata, Number Two in The Corner which ran in the NY International Fringe Festival at PS 122, Oldie Mama in Gint and Anna in The Virtuous Burglar. She wrote & co-directed Me, Myself, I and the Others , October 2007.Other credits include Harriet in Sandwich (2007 Wonderland Festival, nominated for Best Actress), Lyubov in The Cherry Orchard, Isa in Isadora Libre (American Living Room Festival 1999), Gertrude in OverFaust (Florida Dance Festival 1999) Lady Fanciful inThe Provok’d Wife, Maggie in Dancing at Lughnasa Smith in Three Penny Opera and Linda/Sammy instorming the kingdom – an original one-woman show. She toured Germany with The Sisters You (2000) and Fat Peggy’s Sober Property at the TAT Depot (2001). Dechelle is a graduate of New World School of the Arts. She volunteers for The Indie Theater Fund.

Michelle Diaz is a founding member of Wreckio Ensemble. She is currently the Artistic Director of Theater at Arts Garage in Delay Beach, FL. She spent 18 years in New York and California, where she studied, taught, and worked in Theatre and Television. She holds a BFA from New World School of the Arts in Miami, her hometown. After graduating, she moved to New York City and worked with renowned experimental playwright and director, Richard Foreman. As a co-founder of Wreckio Ensemble, Michelle wrote and directed The Corner, which was selected to be performed at the NYC Fringe Festival. She co-wrote and performed in the critically acclaimed Wrestling Porcelain, and performed in a number
of other productions with the company. Michelle received her MFA from the University of California, San Diego where she performed at La Jolla Playhouse. While in Los Angeles, Michelle acted in a number of commercials and TV shows, including Sons of Anarchy and How I Met Your Mother. She also had the opportunity to perform in Palestine, New Mexico (Dir. Lisa Peterson) at the Mark Taper Forum with Culture Clash. Other favorite roles include Varya in The Cherry Orchard, Paulinka in A Bright Room Called Day (Dir. Stuart Meltzer), and Florella in Labyrinth of Desire (Dir. Jerry Ruiz). Michelle is a proud member of Sag-Aftra and Actors Equity Association.

Karly Michel is a founding member of Wreckio Ensemble. She has written two original plays, Rooftops and Gravediggers, that have been produced and performed by Wreckio. She co-wrote The Ladies Aide Society Invites You To A Poverty Party To Benefit The Foundation For Ethical Art And Culture and Wrestling Porcelain with fellow Wreckio members. She has had the pleasure of playing ‘Various Characters’ in Wreckio productions: The Ladies Aide Society Invites You To A Poverty Party To Benefit The Foundation For Ethical Art And Culture, Based on a True Story… (series) and Wrestling Porcelain. She played Eye the Third in Dechelle Damien's Me, Myself, I and the Others. 

​Kimberlea Kressal spent 20 years in New York as a theatre director and playwright before moving to LA to write TV. Once hailed “the Susan Stroman of downtown lesbian theater” her work has been produced in NY’s filthiest bars, basements, and black boxes. She was the director/writer of the off-Broadway musical Lesbian Love Octagon, and for ten years she was the resident director for Wreckio Ensemble. Most recently on stage, Kimberlea directed a workshop of Alice Stanley Jr. 's The Second Best School Shooting Executive Produced by Adam McKay. In television, she has sold and developed TV projects with 3Arts, ABC Signature, Automatik, Danny Rose Media, DiGa Studios, Dynamic Television, Escape Artists, Milojo, MGM-Orion, Gavin Polone’s Pariah, and UCP. Her directorial debut film Jackrabbit Homestead (featuring Yara Martinez, Randi Berry, and Dechelle Damien) premiered at Outshine Film Festival in Miami, where it received the Audience Award for Best Short.
